Product Inspections |
 |
| |
| STR's quality
inspections are designed to eliminate many of the
uncertainties associated with the global marketplace.
Carried out at the factory or port, they represent
a cost effective means of ensuring that products
imported from abroad are of the required quality
prior to shipment or purchase. With staffing across
six continents, STR is uniquely situated to design
and implement a worldwide inspection and quality
assurance program for consumer products. |
| |
| Specifically,
STR offers the following product inspection services:
|
| |
|
Factory Audit: |
- The factory audit evaluates a factory in terms
of the quality system in place and its ability
to deliver the required volume of the product,
at the required level of quality and within
the necessary time frame. Audits can also cover
labor policy and working conditions. For further
information, see our Social and Environmental
Responsibility literature.
|
| In-Process
Quality Check: |
- The In-Process Quality Check (IPQC) provides
a snapshot of the situation at a factory once
production is underway. It will typically consider
and report on stocks of raw materials or components,
any current production problems, daily production
rate and quality of the finished product.
|
|
During Production Inspection: |
- Often carried out during the early stages
of production, Dupro inspections serve to assess
the quality of the finished product as it comes
off the line. The product is evaluated for safety,
design, and performance. This type of inspection
provides valuable feedback to the factory in
enough time to make necessary changes and still
meet ship dates.
|
| Final
Random Pre-Shipment Inspection: |
- Pre-shipment inspections are carried out on
a container-by-container or shipment-by-shipment
basis before the product leaves the factory.
APSI not only serves as a vital final check
on product quality but also includes other checks
of packaging, volume of product per container
and carton markings.
|
| Loading
Inspection: |
- Loading inspections ensure that the correct
product is loaded at the factory or at the port.
This inspection also provides up-to-the-minute
information on shipping schedules.
